The old municipality of Santa Maria de Sants was one of the centers of the industrial Barcelona of the 19th century. Currently, Sants is a neighborhood of Barcelona located in the southern part of the city, belongs to the district of Sants Montjuic and borders the Barcelona districts of Ensanche to the northeast, Les Corts to the northeast and the municipality of Hospitalet de Llobregat.
